Longboat Library is a private nonprofit organization
staffed entirely by volunteers and supported solely by 
membership fees and donations.  No taxpayer money 
goes to support the library.

The bulk of the library material is recreational reading:
fiction, non-fiction, biographies, classics, and books of 
local interest. Our magazines are donated and taken on 
an honor system. You will also find DVDs and audio books
to borrow, as well as a small children's section. 

We cannot forget our Books for Sale -some say they are
the best bargain on the island.
